Baseball Recap: Wishkah Valley Comes Up Short

Wishkah Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Lake Quinault Elks, falling 20-6. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Elks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-3 back in March.

Wishkah Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Lake Quinault, they pushed their record up to 5-0 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wishkah Valley is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will take on Mary M. Knight at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Owls have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 20.75 runs per game on average), something the Loggers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Lake Quinault, they will head out to square off against Darrington at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
