Baseball Recap: Laton Comes Up Short

If Laton was feeling good fresh off their 14-2 takedown of Alpaugh on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mustangs fell just short of the McFarland Cougars by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Mustangs in their meetings with the Cougars: they've now lost eight in a row.

Laton's defeat dropped their record down to 6-15-1. As for McFarland, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-14-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Laton will challenge Parlier at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for McFarland, they will take on North at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
