Football Recap: Jesup Takes a Loss

Jesup was the 42-20 winner over Vinton-Shellsburg when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The J-Hawks took a blow against the Vikings on Friday, falling 42-14.

Jesup dropped their record down to 0-2 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Vinton-Shellsburg, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jesup will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Osage at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Vinton-Shellsburg, they will host Benton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
