Basketball Recap: Milford Piles Up the Points Against Piute

With a playoff win on the line, Milford rose to the challenge on Saturday. They breezed past the Piute Thunderbirds to the tune of 58-31. That's the fourth time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 53-51 win back in February.

Milford found their leader in sophomore Acacia Dalton, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 14 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Dalton a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaidyn Mcmullin, who shot 46% from the field en route to 16 points and six boards.

Milford smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in 25 consecutive games.

Milford now has a winning record of 14-13. As for Piute, their loss dropped their record down to 14-11.
