Baseball Recap: Hopewell-Loudon Victorious

While Hopewell-Loudon's win against Woodmore wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Chieftains had just enough and edged out the Wildcats 4-2. The Chieftains haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Kellen Frankart made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brayden Brickman, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

Hopewell-Loudon's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2. As for Woodmore, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5.
