The Lake Mary Rams will face off against the DeLand Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Lake Mary is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past Spruce Creek, posting a 50-20 victory. The win continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Hawks: they've now won four in a row.

Lake Mary's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Noah Grubbs led the charge by throwing for 263 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also punching in two rushing scores. That's the most passing yards Grubbs has posted since back in September. Oshea Faison helped Grubbs out on the ground, rushing for 78 yards and one TD, while also picking up 68 receiving yards and one score.
Lake Mary didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. Sam Nelson picked up that interception and then proceeded to rub salt in the wound by taking it back the other way for a touchdown. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter and that's exactly how it played out for DeLand on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew Boone out of the water with a 65-17 final score. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 44-10.
Lake Mary better keep an eye on Marceles Carey. He was instrumental in DeLand's win, rushing for 194 yards and five touchdowns on only seven carries. Carey's longest rush was for an impressive 67 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Another player making a difference was Taihj Moore, who gained 157 total yards and a touchdown.
DeLand's victory bumped their record up to 12-0. As for Lake Mary, their win bumped their record up to 9-3.
Everything came up roses for Lake Mary against DeLand in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 49-14 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Carey, who picked up 116 receiving yards, and also punched in one score on the ground.
