Basketball Recap: Cottonwood Classical Prep Comes Up Short

Cottonwood Classical Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 58-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the East Mountain Timberwolves. The Coyotes were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Timberwolves apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Cottonwood Classical Prep's loss dropped their record down to 6-18. As for East Mountain, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 13-7.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Cuba the next time they take the court. East Mountain will host Cuba at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Cottonwood Classical Prep will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
