Basketball Recap: Divide County Takes a Loss

Divide County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 68-42 to the Tioga Pirates. While losing is never fun, the Maroons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 73rd, while the Pirates are ranked 12th).

Divide County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Tioga, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Divide County has already played their next matchup (against Parshall), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Tioga will face off against Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood at 3:00 p.m. on January 25th. One thing working in Tioga's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
