Baseball Recap: East Rowan Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

East Rowan waltzed into their match on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Lake Norman Wildcats 13-6. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by seven runs or more this season.

East Rowan let Mason Phelps and Josiah Ninteau run wild. Phelps scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-4, while Ninteau went 2-for-3 with five RBI and one double. The dominant performance gave Phelps a new career-high in runs. Braylen Ketchie also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

East Rowan was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.

East Rowan's record is now 6-2. As for Lake Norman, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 6-2.

East Rowan wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 10-0 victory against South Rowan on the 14th. As for Lake Norman, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 9-7 win against Davie on the 13th.
