Soccer Recap: Gretna Comes Up Short

Gretna was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Duchesne Cardinals.

Gretna's goal came courtesy of Briella Thompsen, who's now up to nine this season.

Gretna's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Duchesne, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Gretna is set to face off against their familiar foe Bennington at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Duchesne will square off against rival Pius X at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
