Basketball Recap: Field Takes a Loss

After soaring to 55 points the game before, Field was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They were outmatched by the Norton Panthers and fell 60-24. The matchup marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the loss, Field still got an impressive performance from Sarah Balzer, who posted 13 points and five rebounds. Those 13 points gave Balzer a new career-high. Delilah Rahe was another key player, putting up five points and seven boards.

Field's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Norton, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-8.

Field has already played their next game, a 49-32 win against Cuyahoga Falls on the 18th. As for Norton, they will challenge Streetsboro at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
