Basketball Recap: Xaverian Takes a Loss

On Saturday, the Xaverian Clippers came up short against the St. Stephen's & St. Agnes Saints and fell 60-52. The Clippers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Riley Jacobs was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 12 rebounds for St. Stephen's & St. Agnes. The match was Jacobs' eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Colin Pollock, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten boards.

Xaverian now has a losing record at 7-8. As for St. Stephen's & St. Agnes, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 15-2.

Xaverian will welcome Far Rockaway at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Stephen's & St. Agnes, they will face off against Bullis at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in St. Stephen's & St. Agnes' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six games.
