Volleyball Recap: Poynette Takes a Loss

Poynette was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Lake Mills L-Cats, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the L-Cats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Poynette took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-20, 25-22.

Tayte Crenshaw was the offensive standout of the match as she had 12 digs and two aces. She has been hot, having posted 12 or more digs the last five times she's played.

Poynette's loss dropped their record down to 8-22. As for Lake Mills, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.

Poynette does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lake Mills, they will take on Randolph in a tournament on Saturday.
