Basketball Recap: Gloucester County Christian Falls Short of King's Christian in the Playoffs

Gloucester County Christian and King's Christian squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Gloucester County Christian had to settle for second. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 65-33 to the King's Christian Knights, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Conquerors' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row.

Despite the loss, Gloucester County Christian still got an impressive performance from Colby James, who posted 12 points. Michael Pierantozzi was another key player, putting up eight points.

King's Christian found their leader in sophomore Cam Homer, who scored 21 points. The match was Homer's third in a row with at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Brayden Pickard, who had ten points.

Gloucester County Christian's loss dropped their record down to 9-18. As for King's Christian, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 20-8.

Gloucester County Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 51-36 defeat against The Pilgrim Academy on the 1st. As for King's Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 60-58 loss against Atlantic Christian on the 1st.
