Silverdale Academy lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Christian Academy of Knoxville, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's match. The Seahawks put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 16-5 win on Thursday. The Seahawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 games by six runs or more this season.

Airebis Cox was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over 4.2 innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Silverdale Academy let Emry Masterson and Jaliyah Whitaker run wild. Masterson got on base in five of her six plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Whitaker went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those four runs gave Masterson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Gabriella Hensley, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with one double and one RBI.

Silverdale Academy has been performing well recently as they've won 14 of their last 17 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-6-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games. As for Christian Academy of Knoxville, they moved to 21-6 with that defeat, which also ended their eight-game winning streak.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Silverdale Academy beat the Warriors by a score of 12-2 on Friday.
