Baseball Recap: Little River Redskins vs. Marion Warriors
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Little River had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Marion Warriors 4-3. The win was some much needed relief for the Redskins as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Logan Renken made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Renken was even better at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April.
Renken wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Camden Strecker, who went 1-for-4 with one run.
Little River's victory bumped their record up to 20-3. As for Marion, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-14 record this season.
