Preview: Owens Valley Cubs vs. Baker Braves
Owens Valley is 0-4 against Baker since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. Having just played yesterday, the Owens Valley Cubs will get right back to it and host the Baker Braves at 3:00 p.m. on January 23rd.
On Monday, Owens Valley was the victim of a tough 54-33 loss at the hands of Big Pine. Owens Valley has struggled against Big Pine recently, as their match on Monday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Baker has not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They walked away with a 51-44 win over Big Pine on Saturday. 51 seems to be a good number for Baker as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Owens Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Baker, their victory bumped their record up to 4-7.
Owens Valley suffered a grim 67-45 defeat to Baker when the teams last played back in January of 2018. Thankfully for Owens Valley, Max Robledo (who shot 7-for-14 from deep and dropped a double-double on 29 points and 13 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time.
