Softball Recap: Westgate Takes a Loss

Westgate fell victim to Patterson and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Patterson Lumberjacks, falling 17-0. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lumberjacks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2015.

Westgate's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Patterson, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Coming up, Westgate will welcome Northside at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Westgate has given up an average of 16.4 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. Patterson has already played their next contest (against St. James), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
