Basketball Recap: Duggan Kriz's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Burns over Glenrock

Burns was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 68-64 heartbreaker at the hands of the Glenrock Herders. The Broncs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Herders from their previous meeting back in February of 2018.

Burns lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Duggan Kriz, who went 8 for 14 on his way to 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Medley, who posted eight points and seven assists.

Even though they lost, Burns was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Burns' loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Glenrock, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 7-6.

Burns will venture away from home to challenge Wheatland at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Glenrock, they will welcome Douglas at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Douglas will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Glenrock surely won't give up without a fight.
