Football Game Preview: Solon Comets vs. Stow-Munroe Falls Bulldogs

The Solon Comets will square off against the Stow-Munroe Falls Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Solon is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They were outmatched by Nordonia and fell 48-14. The Comets have struggled against the Knights recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Stow-Munroe Falls' offense. They had to suffer through a 35-0 loss at the hands of Hudson. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 241st, while the Explorers are ranked 31st).

Stow-Munroe Falls now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Solon, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Solon couldn't quite finish off Stow-Munroe Falls in their previous meeting back in September of 2024 and fell 21-19. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Bulldogs' Jake Harrington, who rushed for 100 yards and one score on only 12 carries, and also threw for 109 yards and one TD.
