Basketball Recap: Poly Comes Up Short

The Poly Bears came up short against the King's Academy Knights on Monday and fell 60-52. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

King's Academy had a senior duo take command as Claxton Ladine went 5-for-12 to rack up 18 points and five boards and Xavier Barnett shot 60% from the field on his way to 16 points. Thanks to that strong game, Ladine now owns an excellent 40.3% three-point shooting accuracy. Scotty Beamish Jr was another key player, putting up eight points and three steals.

Poly's loss dropped their record down to 8-14. As for King's Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 13-3.

Poly has already played their next matchup, a 56-48 win against Liberty on the 21st. As for King's Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 71-58 victory against Priory on the 20th.
