Franklin Central won the last time they faced Margaretville Central, and Shannon Kingsbury did her part to make sure it happened again. The Franklin Central Purple Devils walked away with a 48-41 win over the Margaretville Central Blue Devils on Monday thanks in part to Kingsbury, who almost dropped a double-double on 22 points and nine steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 23 games she's played dating back to last season.

Another player making a difference was Riley McNamara, who posted 13 points in addition to six boards and five steals. Those 13 points gave her a new career-high.

Franklin Central's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Margaretville Central, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Franklin Central and Gilbertsville-Mt. Upton will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Margaretville Central, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Charlotte Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
