Meanwhile, after a string of 11 wins, New Iberia's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They came up short against Sam Houston, falling 12-1. The defeat was just more heartbreak for the Yellowjackets, who fell 5-3 when the teams last met back in April of 2024.
