Basketball Recap: Lakes Comes Up Short

The Lakes Lancers came up short against the Evergreen Plainsmen on Friday, falling 63-37.

Lakes has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 12-12 record this season. As for Evergreen, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-6.

Looking ahead, Lakes won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Silas at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Samara Oliver and Annique Smith. As for Evergreen, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll challenge White River at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. White River is on a nine-game streak of home wins, Evergreen a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
