Baseball Recap: Sleepy Eye Comes Up Short

Sleepy Eye lost against New Ulm Cathedral two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Indians took a 12-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Greyhounds. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Carson Uecker made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That triple was his first of the season. Landon Wendinger was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.

Sleepy Eye's loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for New Ulm Cathedral, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-1.

Sleepy Eye has already played their next match (against Lester Prairie), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for New Ulm Cathedral, they will face off against Springfield at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
