Central and Beaver squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Central had to settle for second. They took a 65-49 bruising from the Beaver Bobcats. The Dragons' loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Central's defeat dropped their record down to 19-5. As for Beaver, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.

Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Beaver, they will take on North Catholic on Tuesday. Beaver will be up against North Catholic's rather soft defense (which has allowed 52.88 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
