Basketball Recap: Deke Thompson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Charles Page over Edmond North

Charles Page was the 69-65 winner over Edmond North when they last played one another back in February of 2015, but their luck changed this time around. The Charles Page Sandites lost 78-52 to the Edmond North Huskies on Thursday. The loss put an end to the Sandites' undefeated start to the season.

Several Sandites players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Deke Thompson, who posted 17 points and five assists. Thompson is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Khalil Allen was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Charles Page fell to 6-1. As for Edmond North, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2.

Charles Page wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 67-42 victory against Edison on the 21st. As for Edmond North, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 48-38 win against Memorial on the 21st.
