Football Recap: Fulton Starts Season with Win Against Coleman

Fulton had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They took down the Coleman Comets 40-26. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Pirates also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2022.

Coleman's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dominic Lawrence, who picked up 74 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 94 yards. Brayden Schrank also helped with two TDs in total.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fulton will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Byron at 7:00 p.m. on September 5. This will be the Pirates' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Coleman, they will be playing at home against Holton at 3:30 p.m. on September 6.
