Recap: Carrizozo Grizzlies vs. Grady Bronchos
The Carrizozo Grizzlies's game on Thursday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. In a tight game that could have gone either way, they made off with a 36-35 victory over Grady.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Carrizozo to victory, but perhaps none more so than Riley Gallacher, who scored 17 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Gallacher has scored at least 25% of Carrizozo's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Barela, who scored 10 points.
Despite the loss, Grady saw an underclassman step up: Zander Ciancio dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Hays Rush, who scored 5 points along with 6 rebounds.
Carrizozo's win bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Grady, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Carrizozo will look to defend their home court on Saturday against To'hajiilee at 1:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Mexico (To'hajiilee is ranked 33rd, while Carrizozo is ranked 48th). Grady will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Reserve at 10:30 a.m. on December 2nd.
