Basketball Recap: West Central Takes a Loss

West Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 61-57 heartbreaker at the hands of the East Buchanan Buccaneers. The Blue Devils lost against the Buccaneers in their previous head to head back in January of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 76-19 score last time.

West Central's loss dropped their record down to 1-17. As for East Buchanan, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 4-14 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: East Buchanan beat West Central by a score of 61-57 on Monday.
