Nash Dickinson, Hillsboro's leader in runs on the season, led the team again on Thursday. Dickinson wasn't messing around, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. The matchup was his eighth straight with at least one stolen base.

Even though Dickinson couldn't lead Hillsboro over Halstead, he won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Trojans have some work to do to even out the 2-7 series between these two since April of 2021, but a win here would be a good start.
