Volleyball Game Preview: Cypress Bay Lightning vs. Coral Gables Cavaliers

The Cypress Bay Lightning will face off against the Coral Gables Cavaliers at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Cypress Bay comes in on five and Coral Gables on six.

Cypress Bay is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They came out on top against Wellington by a score of 3-1.

Cypress Bay had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-11, 25-21, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Coral Gables had just enough and edged out Coral Reef 3-2 on Wednesday.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (109-100) Coral Gables actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-23, 19-25, 16-25, 15-13.

Coral Gables' win bumped their record up to 18-8. As for Cypress Bay, their victory bumped their record up to 16-7.
