The Tippecanoe Red Devils will square off against the Northmont Thunderbolts at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Tippecanoe is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.2 runs per game this season.

Tippecanoe is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Ohio's top teams: Butler, who was ranked seventh at the time (Tippecanoe was ranked 22nd). The Red Devils lost 10-4 to the Aviators on Friday. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Red Devils, who until this contest were averaging 3.33 runs allowed.

Tippecanoe saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bryce Eckert, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double. Another was Preston Zumwalt, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Meanwhile, Northmont didn't have quite enough to beat Brookville on Saturday and fell 6-5.

Northmont also got a good showing from Jayden Snyder, who pitched four innings while giving up three earned runs off only two hits.

At the plate, Chase Fuduloff made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with four RBI and one double. Cameron Knight was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs.

Northmont's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-11-1. As for Tippecanoe, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 18-3.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Tippecanoe has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Northmont struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
