Recap: Cocoa Tigers vs. Celebration Storm

The Cocoa Tigers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They breezed by Celebration at home to the tune of 90-60. That looming 90-60 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Cocoa yet this season.

Travon Graves continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 26 points along with six rebounds and five assists. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Cocoa's points. Another player making a difference was Corey Peterson , who scored 14 points.

Several Storm players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ricardo Baro, who scored 18 points along with three steals. That's the first time this season that Baro scored 15 or more points. Kendley Jean was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with ten rebounds and three steals.

Even though they lost, Celebration were working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cocoa only racked up 31 assists.

The win got Cocoa back to even at 2-2. As for Celebration, they bumped their record down to 2-6 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cocoa won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Hope Academy at 7:00 p.m. on December 13th. One thing working in Hope Academy's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
