Volleyball Recap: Capital Gets the Win

Capital won the last time they faced Wood River and things went their way on Friday too. The Golden Eagles narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Wolverines 2-1.

Jaelle Stafford paced Capital's offense, picking up seven kills. Stafford got some help from Elayna Jolly and her 22 assists. Finally, Stafford was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

The victory got Capital back to even at 1-1.

Capital has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Eagle on the 22nd. As for Wood River, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Shelley on the 22nd.
