Basketball Game Preview: Permian Panthers vs. Midland Legacy Rebels

Permian is 0-10 against Midland Legacy since January of 2018 but things could change on Tuesday. The Permian Panthers will square off against the Midland Legacy Rebels at 6:00 p.m.

Permian is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Friday. They had to suffer through a 73-32 loss at the hands of Frenship. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 630th, while the Tigers are ranked 15th).

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Midland Legacy against Odessa on Friday as the squad secured a 61-24 win. The Rebels have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 20 points or more this season.

Midland Legacy pushed their record up to 17-12 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Permian, their loss dropped their record down to 9-19.

Permian came up short against Midland Legacy when the teams last played two weeks ago, falling 57-47. Can Permian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
