Baseball Game Preview: Dover Crimson Tornadoes vs. Louisville Leopards

The Dover Crimson Tornadoes will square off against the Louisville Leopards at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Dover will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

On Friday, Dover was able to grind out a solid win over Washington, taking the game 6-1.

Meanwhile, Louisville came into Wednesday's match having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They had just enough and edged out Ursuline 5-4 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Leopards have posted since April 12th.

Brock Leghart looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Louisville is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-9 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Cooper Rice was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.

Dover's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-5. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Louisville, their win bumped their record up to 8-10.
