Baseball Recap: Godby Comes Up Short

Godby made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Wakulla Christian School, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Cougars fell just short of the Saints by a score of 6-4 on Tuesday. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 11, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Godby saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Patrick Garland, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Godby's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Wakulla Christian School, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-8 record this season.

Godby will head out to square off against Madison County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wakulla Christian School, they will be playing at home against Gadsden County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
