Basketball Recap: St. James Academy Takes a Loss

St. James Academy suffered their closest defeat since January 19, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of the Blue Valley Northwest Huskies by a score of 61-59. While losing is never fun, the Thunder can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 76th, while the Huskies are ranked seventh).

St. James Academy has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season. The win made it two in a row for Blue Valley Northwest and bumps their season record up to 14-6.

As of now, neither St. James Academy nor Blue Valley Northwest have any future games scheduled.
