Highlands Christian is 8-2 against Berean Christian since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. Highlands Christian proved they can win big two weeks ago (they won by 15) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Deerfield Beach, sneaking past 4-2. The victory continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Bucks: they've now won three in a row.

The team relied heavily on Sage Chartier, who went 1-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. That triple marked the first that he hit this season. Phillip Cavalcante was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Berean Christian's offense. They lost 14-0 to Marathon on Tuesday. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Bulldogs were not able to get on the board.

Berean Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Highlands Christian, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.

Friday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Highlands Christian has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .558. However, it's not like Berean Christian struggles in that department as they've averaged .433. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
