Football Game Preview: Desert Mountain Wolves vs. Kellis Cougars + How To Watch

The Desert Mountain Wolves will head out on the road to face off against the Kellis Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Desert Mountain's defense has only allowed 14 points per game this season, so Kellis' offense will have their work cut out for them.

Desert Mountain is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Mountain Pointe 51-16 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolves.

Easton Conner produced another solid effort rushing for 127 yards and three TDs on only eight carries. Those three rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ryan Cratty, who gained 149 total yards and a touchdown.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Desert Mountain proved: they limited Mountain Pointe to a paltry 2.6 yards per carry. Desert Mountain didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Conner and Ryan McDonough. McDonough is also on a roll when it comes to defended passes, as he's now defended at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Meanwhile, after only 13 points in their last contest, Kellis made sure to put some points up on the board against Ironwood on Thursday. The Cougars came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 47-35. The win almost wasn't to be: the Cougars were down 29-13 in the second quarter.

Desert Mountain's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Kellis, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.
