Basketball Recap: Forestview Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Forestview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 71-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cuthbertson Cavaliers. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 400th, while the Cavaliers are ranked 38th).

Despite the loss, Forestview still got an impressive performance from Semaj Hart, who posted 19 points and eight boards. Another player making a difference was Zyir Sowell, who scored 13 points and three steals.

Forestview's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Cuthbertson, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 8-1.

Forestview and Cuthbertson will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Jaguars will face off against rival North Gaston at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Cuthbertson is set to square off against their familiar foe Porter Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
