Volleyball Recap: Crest Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Crest entered their tilt with East Lincoln on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Mustangs. For the Chargers, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 win the Mustangs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

Crest had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-21, 15-8.

Their offense was headlined by Caroline Webber and Emma Mull, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Emily Humphries and her 13 assists. Kayla Bradshaw controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Crest's victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for East Lincoln, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-9.

Crest has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Franklin on the 6th. As for East Lincoln, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against South Point at 6:00 p.m.
