Softball Recap: Barstow Comes Up Short

Barstow lost against Granite Hills back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Aztecs took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars. The Aztecs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mia-Cali Zamora was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Madalyn Ayala, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Barstow's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Granite Hills, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.

While Barstow had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
