Volleyball Recap: Rock Falls Triumphs

Rock Falls won the last time they faced Mercer County and things went their way on Thursday too. The Rockets had just enough and edged out the Golden Eagles 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rockets.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Rock Falls who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 22-25, 25-20.

Taylor Segneri paced Rock Falls' offense, picking up 13 kills. Segneri got some help from Miley Bickett and her 27 assists. Kaltrina Lecaj controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Rock Falls' victory bumped their record up to 21-14. As for Mercer County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 16-18.

Coming up, Rock Falls will face off against Riverdale at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mercer County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
