Soccer Recap: Westmont Gets the Win

After low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, Westmont brought some dynamite into their most recent game. Their defense stepped up to hand the Islamic Foundation Chargers a 6-0 shutout on Friday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Westmont's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Their offense was hitting Islamic Foundation from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Ally Vazquez led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

The win got Westmont back to even at 2-2-2.

Westmont didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Chicago Washington on the 12th. As for Islamic Foundation, they will take on Chicago Hope Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
