Reports indicate Putnam City North sophomore out of surgery, expected to make a full recovery.
Johnson's mother, April Woolfolk, posted a message early Tuesday morning on Facebook that read, "The news of my son is circling social media so I just want to let friends and family know that yes, he (Jeremiah) was shot last night. Both bullets are out and he is still in surgery. I am trying my best to keep it together. We have prayer warriors interceding on his behalf."
Among those sending prayers were Washington Wizards star Bradley Beal, who lends his name to the club team Johnson plays for.
Woolfolk later posted that Johnson was out of surgery and everything went well. She also stated that her son was in good spirits and that the doctors had a positive outlook toward a full recovery.
The 6-foot-3, 160-pound point guard is regarded as
the No. 16 prospect in the Class of 2023 according to 247Sports. He

Johnson has continued to emerge as a star for the Panthers this season, averaging over 20 points per contest to lead Putnam City North to a 9-3 record.
