There's no place like home for Whitehall, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They blew past the Orchard View Cardinals 17-0 on Tuesday. That 17 run margin sets a new team best for the Vikings this season.

Megan Leatrea made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Janie Fagan, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and three runs. Bella Fogus was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.

Whitehall was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .389. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

The win got Whitehall back to even at 5-5. As for Orchard View, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Whitehall beat the Cardinals by a score of 17-5 later that day.
