Basketball Recap: Wayne Badgers vs. Panguitch Bobcats
Wayne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 54-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panguitch Bobcats. While losing is never fun, the Badgers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 111th, while the Bobcats are ranked 17th).
Despite the loss, Wayne still got an impressive performance from Blake Peterson, who posted 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Robins, who put up six points along with ten boards and three blocks.

Panguitch's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Remme Chappell, who went 8 of 13 on his way to 20 points and eight rebounds. Chappell's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bridger Chappell, who went 7 of 15 on his way to 17 points and six rebounds.
Wayne's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Panguitch, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
Wayne will venture away from home to square off against Draper APA at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Panguitch, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Panguitch Bobcats duke it out with the Wendover Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Wendover is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.7 points per game this season.
