Winterboro waltzed into their game on Friday with 16 straight wins... but they left with 17. They claimed a resounding 57-22 victory over the Talladega Tigers. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 82nd, while the Tigers are ranked 208th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Talladega's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Zae Cunningham, who posted six points, and Justasia Pointer, who had five points.

Winterboro's win bumped their record up to 20-1. As for Talladega, they moved to 13-11 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Winterboro will head out to take on Central of Coosa County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Winterboro is facing Central of Coosa County at the right time seeing as Central of Coosa County is stuck on a six-game losing streak. Talladega has already played their next match (against Sylacauga), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
